Childhood Caries Prevention Program

Our Childhood Caries Prevention Program's purpose is to provide pregnant women and parents an opportunity to speak to an oral health professional, complete an oral health assessment, provide education and assist with scheduling an appointment. The focus of this program includes pregnant women and children, ranging from newborns to 14 years old.

Additional highlights of this program include:

• Synchronous teledentistry video platform
• Care that is provided by expanded practice dental hygienists (EPDHs), such as:
  
  • Oral health assessments
  • Oral hygiene instruction
  • Nutritional counseling
  • Tobacco counseling
  • Anticipatory guidance
  • Navigation to care
